Alchemy is the science of understanding, deconstructing, and reconstructing matter and at a more personal level, an analogy for the transmutation of the physical body (Saturn or lead) into an enlightened being (the Sun or gold). In searching for the formula, the alchemist himself becomes ever more conscious, so evolving from ignorance to enlightenment.

All the outer planets, Uranus (

) are retrograde the entire month. When the Earth ‘overtakes’ a planet further out in the Solar system, that planet appears to defer to the Sun, bowing and moving backwards in the heavens – supporting you to gestate a new aspect of yourself.
The houses in your chart being transited by Uranus (0° Aries/29° Pisces), Neptune (27° Aquarius) and Pluto (3° Capricorn) – and even Chiron (0° Pisces/27° Aquarius) - is where extra energy is being directed, revealing and breaking habit patterns not conducive to your individuation process. I have both Uranus and Jupiter retrograde in my fourth house and on my IC (the lowest point in any chart) and I will be moving house twice in the next few weeks, once in London and once in South Africa. I have been compelled to clear out and sort out my life at the most basic level and, coming across various mementos, have had to deal with a deluge of deep-rooted emotions I wasn’t even aware of holding onto.
The exhaustion many of you are experiencing during these retrograde transits is because your unconscious is working overtime – often even sleep does not seem to be a rest. For now, the work is underground and you need to Mind the Gap: prepare for those numinous moments of awareness.
